I’ve got to tell you how wonderful it is to be a part of a Mastermind Group. I have to share this excitement with you.

Toni-Louise and I formed our first Mastermind group 2 months ago and its been going from strength to strength. We have connected with the most amazing group of like minded women. We are all in business and share similar thoughts, struggles, victories, fears and joys. We laugh and cry as each of us shares from our heart. We all have very different backgrounds and businesses, but what we have in common is the desire to connect, encourage, support and inspire one another.

Today we had the most amazing meeting. We’re all busy women, but we took two hours out of our week to come together and it was incredible. So much is happening with each of us and to be able to share it with one another and have the support and inspiration from such a high powered group of women is more than money can buy.

We left feeling elated and spurred on to continue to achieve greatness not only in our business but in our lives. For many of us, our loved ones don’t fully understand what we are doing in business and our friends certainly try but it's absolutely essential to be a part of a group that knows what you’re going through and is there to support you in every way.

I highly recommend you all get connected to a group such as this. Ours happened because we saw a need and we fulfilled it. We were all crying out for such a thing and we have been so blessed by it. Toni-Louise and I are all about connection, support, encouragement and creating knowledge. This groups allows for all of this and more.

Thankyou to all who are a part of this. You ladies rock!!

Creating Your Dream Sanctuary

Last week we had the pleasure of interviewing Victoria Millar-Wise and Nicole Phoenix Starr about their "Create Your Dream Sanctuary" Design and Lifestyling Academy in Bali 11-18th October.

This is going to be an awesome event. This dream team are taking a select group of people to Bali for 7 days to stay in a tranquil, luxurious Balinese resort. They will escape the busyness of life to stop and reflect on who they are, where they're going and how they're getting there. They will discover the creativity often buried deep within to allow their goals, dreams and visions to surface and be realised.

How often do we value ourselves enough to stop and smell the roses let alone stop for a whole week to be pampered, nurtured and inspired. 

Hearing Victoria and Nicole's enthusiasm and passion for their retreat was so refreshing and made me want to get on a plane and go to Bali. I want this!! I need this!! Who doesnt?? Today we interviewed Rosalind Gardner from Net Profits Today.

Ros used to be an airtraffic controller working shift work and doing a job that she didnt love. She discovered the internet and very quickly learnt the power and potential of Affiliate Marketing. She made $500,000 in her first year!! Can you believe that? How would that kind of money fit in to your household budget? I know we could sure appreciate that kind of income with three kids to raise!!

Its hard to actually believe this kind of thing is possible, but it actually is!! Rosalind explained some basic principles to get this working for you and shared with us how easy it actually is even without any techy skills. Yesterday we had the pleasure of interviewing the Wildly Wealthy one herself, Sandy Forster from Wildly Wealthy Women. What an inspiring call that was! To hear Sandy's story of going from a struggling single mum on welfare to creating a multi million dollar international business was amazing. She's a lady who has inspired women all over the world that they can change their circumstances and truly change their life. 

Sandy shared with us how she always felt that she was born for greatness. Born for something spectacular and was not prepared to settle for less. Her circumstances however were the opposite. She was a single mum, in a lot of debt, stressed to the eye balls and really struggling to keep it all together. She knew their had to be a better way and she set out to find it. 

Its a story I really resonate with. I too have always felt that I was born to shine. I've always known their was a greater purpose for me and I've never been content to just go through the motions of life without wanting more. I want the best in health, relationships, family and finance. And why not? I actually cant see why I can't have that. And I believe it's there for everyone. We just need to know how to do it. That's usually where most people get stuck. And that's exactly where Sandy has been able to help. She works on changing your mindset by using the principles of The Law of Attraction. You change your thinking, take action and receive the abundance that flows to you. 

The three key principles she gave us yesterday were

1. Create a Millionaire Mindset

2. Align yourself with the right Mentor/Mastermind Group

3. Combine the ongoing learning with persistence and action

You can sit on a mountain top and meditate until the cows come home but until you surround yourself with the right people and take action, you wont achieve anything.

As you change your thinking to an abundance mentality and open your heart to receive it, the blessings will start to pour into your life. I love this and I have seen it work in so many lives. In my life for that matter!

Sandy wrote an international bestselling book 'How to Be Wildly Wealthy Fast" and it outlays all the strategies and principles you need to achieve this. I read this book on a Family holiday one Christmas and I couldn't put it down. I soaked it up, wrote notes and came back from that holiday ready to change my world. What does that even mean? To me it means having a good work/life balance and feeling successful in every area of your life.

You may have a successful career or business but your relationships are suffering or your health isnt great. Success in one area will take you a certain distance but eventually without success in those other areas it may all come crumbling down around you. To me success isnt about how much money or recognition you have but its about how balanced your life is and how happy you feel in all areas. So how do we achieve that? The thing that interests me about people is that they all have a story to tell. When you hear a successful person share their story it almost always involves a time of difficulty and hardship. Happiness isn’t having what you want but wanting what you have!

Happiness isnt having what you want but wanting what you have!!

This is a concept thats taken me 40 years to get a handle on.

Do I want what I have? Do you want what you have?

I can honestly say I do. But its only really been recently that I’ve

begun to fully appreciate and love what I have.

You see I’ve always had the tendency to want more, want it all and want it now!!

The trouble with that is that you lose sight of the blessings you have and you constantly look outside of yourself for the next best thing. I’ve spent my whole life doing that. The best job, the best group of friends, the best house, the best holiday, the best ‘Me’, older more well behaved kids and a husband that is just perfect! Does anyone else do this or is it just me?

I had my three children very close together so it was an extremely busy time. I wanted to rush through those years and have them older and more manageable. It was also a time when I decided we had to become more financially secure so I set us on a path of investment strategies. This has worked well for us but it also put us under alot of stress as we renovated and built house after house while also working, while also having three tiny children. All of these things in themselves were great but unfortunately I rushed through them all wanting to get to the next thing and never really stopping to just appreciate what we had and where we were at, at that moment in our lives.

I’m not sure if it’s age, maturity, wisdom or simply a conscious choice but these days I am definately stopping to smell the roses and loving every minute of it.

Life isnt perfect. There is still work to be done, children to deal with and plenty of relationships to work through everyday, but I am learning to be extremely grateful for each and every one of them and realise the blessings I have are golden. I hope you can feel that too. You have so much and your happiness is just a choice away. You may never have all  you want but you can always want what you have.

Are you an Expert?

Are You An Expert?

Well are you? Am I? Is anyone?? What does it even mean to be an ‘expert’?

The Maquarie Dictionary describes an expert as ‘someone who has special skill or knowledge in a special field’.

A Doctor specialising in Obstetrics is ofcourse an expert in their field, a farmer whos farmed cattle for years is an expert in his field.

A teacher specialising in literacy is an expert in their field. But what does it take to be an expert? Is it a Uni Degree? Years of working in that field? Years of learning, working, starting at the bottom to eventually work your way to the top?? My guess it is a number of things put together. It doesnt always have to take years of study at Uni to obtain the knowledge, or twenty years working in a job to gain the experience. Its a decision that you want to learn all you can in that subject. You read what you can, learn from Mentors in that field and work hands on doing the practical to gain all the experience that you can.

In the internet world there are thousands of people out there claiming to be experts. Many of them are and many of them are just very clever about how they are positioned.

In this day of  the Internet Super Highway, we have access to so much information. We can position ourselves as an expert simply by surrounding ourselves with other experts in our chosen field. Ofcourse we learn from them, follow them and work with them and we very quickly do actually become quite expertised ourselves. This is the beauty of it. You can choose your field, something you are truly passionate about and do know alot about, acknowledge the value of your experience and knowledge and then turn it  into a business where you can sell that knowledge and create an income doing something that you love. I love that. It gives so many people unlimited opportunity to do incredible things both personally and professionally. I have met so many people whose lives have been transformed as they have become an expert in their niche and learnt how to market themselves on the Internet.

This Thursday we’ll be interviewing Danette Hibberd (The Product Funnel Formula) to talk all about this and more. Danette will share her own story with us and also show us how she teaches people to become an expert, be perceived as an expert, claim your space as an expert and create products and a successful business around this. I am looking forward to it. We’re all experts in something. You ARE you know!
