The Dancing Queen – Hayley Green

Featured Red Hot Member- Hayley Green, Ausfunk.

(Hayley wrote this at the end of 2011. She's now back in full swing, busier than ever…and loving it!!)

My year…..The stepping stones were placed nicely in 2010, the year before. Everything to a plan, found my first Master Mind group through Sue and found support I needed to confirm what I was doing, away I can fly. I put on a permanent manager, trained 3 new staff, opened number 5&6 studio locations and injected a heap of corporate ideas that I thought would be right at the time……  Meanwhile in my personal life ( I do forget they are separate! )

With the downturn in building industry and my husbands new business only just kicking off we made the unpopular decision for John to leave me with the 3 kids,  while he travelled away for work. I ran the business & worked  in the business leading to me leaning on staff more than I would have liked in their first year. The consequences of this? The power shifts. My intentions became focused on their perceptions and ideas of what would keep them happy so I could get through my year. My decisions became based on what they needed. Oops!

Lesson 1:MY business will not run without it being MY ideals. It will never work out that way. Thank Goodness it Didnt actually take me long to figure this out. Perhaps thats due to the things I've learnt at master Minds group. Meanwhile, The business has had a very successful year, I got into the finals for Most Outstanding Business Person, the kids survived, my marriage stronger if anything! Karen from Positive People advices me: "Life isn't about how to survive the storm, it is about how to dance in the rain" - this I have forgotten ALL year.

I am proud of surviving this storm/tsunami of a year and thank god I dance for a living!!!!! Next year is going to be amazing with what I've just been through. Right now though…I need a holiday!

New Social Networking Site….Amplify.com

New Social Networking Site…..Amplify.com

There's a new kid on the block in the  soci al networking scene. It looks great and well worth checking out.

It takes second to set up your profile as it allows you to link your already set up Twitter and Facebook profiles to it. You can then link up any mutual followers from these other networking sites and you will instantly have followers on there.

The point of difference with Amplify.com is that it isnt Character limited. You can write as much as you like which will enable you to post articles, blog posts, reports, whatever you like and as long as you like. I've always found it frustrating trying to limit my message to 140 characters. Its difficult to get your point across and say anything meaningful.

Now you can and perhaps make much more of a difference as you share your message.

Enjoy using Amplify.com. I'll see you there.

Flirt and Convert!!

Well we interviewed Kylie on Thursday and it was a blast. She taught us all how to “Flirt and convert”

on Facebook!! She brings the glamour and the fun to social networking!! It was so refreshing to hear her unique

take on how to connect with others on Facebook. To her it is a business marketing tool but there are right ways to do it and there are most certainly wrong ways to do it!! How are your social networking skills? Do you offend people or entice them to want to know you more?

Its becoming an artform and you really need to know the social etiquette when it comes to sites like Facebook or you will turn people off quicker than you can say “Twitter”!  Kylie was such a fun lady to interview and her zest for life is contagious. I want what shes got!!! Shes flying all over the country right now doing workshops teaching people how to use Facebook to convert people over to their business and ofcourse buy their products. Facebook is a powerful way to generate traffic to your website which is your shop!! Facebook is your customers first point of reference to you though so you better have it looking spic and span. Professional and interesting. No drunken party photos or obscene language if you want to be taken serioulsy as a professional.

Not everyone sees Facebook in this light. Its up to you what you do with it but if you are out to drive traffic to your site then I would definately listen to Kylie. She knows what she taking about!!

I would love to hear your opinion about this. I would also love to hear if you’ve ever had a bad experience with Facebook. Love to hear it girls.
