My year…..The stepping stones were placed nicely in 2010, the year before. Everything to a plan, found my first Master Mind group through Sue and found support I needed to confirm what I was doing, away I can fly. I put on a permanent manager, trained 3 new staff, opened number 5&6 studio locations and injected a heap of corporate ideas that I thought would be right at the time……  Meanwhile in my personal life ( I do forget they are separate! )

With the downturn in building industry and my husbands new business only just kicking off we made the unpopular decision for John to leave me with the 3 kids,  while he travelled away for work. I ran the business & worked  in the business leading to me leaning on staff more than I would have liked in their first year. The consequences of this? The power shifts. My intentions became focused on their perceptions and ideas of what would keep them happy so I could get through my year. My decisions became based on what they needed. Oops!

Lesson 1:MY business will not run without it being MY ideals. It will never work out that way. Thank Goodness it Didnt actually take me long to figure this out. Perhaps thats due to the things I've learnt at master Minds group. Meanwhile, The business has had a very successful year, I got into the finals for Most Outstanding Business Person, the kids survived, my marriage stronger if anything! Karen from Positive People advices me: "Life isn't about how to survive the storm, it is about how to dance in the rain" - this I have forgotten ALL year.

I am proud of surviving this storm/tsunami of a year and thank god I dance for a living!!!!! Next year is going to be amazing with what I've just been through. Right now though…I need a holiday!

Seeking Security

This is a great quote. Do you find that you seek, strive, crave security? Only to find you feel more and more insecure, overworked and exhausted than ever? Many people stay in a job they don't like because it offers 'security'. They stay there year after year, complaining every moment they get and feel miserable but helpless to change their circumstances. I know this feeling. For years I've worked really hard. I never wanted to feel that I had no money or freedom of choice in my life.

I wanted to work hard, save enough money so that we could feel 'secure', content and 'happy'. The trouble was I was working so hard that for many years I was on the edge. Raising 3 kids, in a job I didnt enjoy, investing in property and developing property. It was crazy. What it did teach me though was to look for opportunity. For me it was always a stepping stone to something far greater. This year I started my own business. I looked for opportunity and grabbed it with both hands. It hasnt all been smooth sailing and I'm still not where I want to be but I can honestly say I'm feeling more content and secure than ever before.

Next year I am presented with some wonderful opportunities and decisions to make. My first thought was excitement then fear set in. What if I can't do it? What if I don't like it? What if I fail? I know however that I will do the best I can and be driven to accomplish great things simply because I choose to recognise opportunity and welcome it.

I hope the same will go for you next year. Its going to be an incredible year for us all.

eBay Opportunities!!

eBay Opportunities!

 eBay!!! We’ve all bought and sold on it but how much money have you made? Have you been like me and even lost money on it? I’m not sure how I did that but I seemed to sell my items for less than I’d even bought them for?? Who does that?  Me, apparently!!  I havnt played around too much with it so I’m clearly not using it correctly. I can buy, no troubles at all!! How easy is it to by on eBay? Far too easy!! Just a few clicks of your mouse, the adrenaline rush of waiting to see if you're the winning bid and voila!!, you’ve just bought something!! Its an exciting feeling, especially when it arrives in the post and you have a present for yourself. Something you may or may not have even needed.

But have you ever thought of creating a serious business using eBay? I mean making some serious money, working from home and only putting in less than 10 hours a week? Well yesterday we interviewed Amanda Clarkson from ‘Bidding Biz’. Amanda and her husband Matt are the eBay experts. They went from having no knowledge of the internet to running a successful eBay business in 6 months. They make over  $50, 000 a month in sales. Their business is fully automated and really does take them less than 10 hours a week to run. Can you imagine that?

Imagine even an extra $500 a month. What we all do with that? School fees, a family holiday, pay the mortgage!! The possiblities are endless and the excitement grows with the thought of it!

Amanda shared her excitement and passion for this business with us and it was contagious! We had record numbers on our call and the testimonials were pouring in from those that had used their program and were getting amazing results. It was a really exciting call.

"Within Adversity there is always Opportunity!"

Toni-Louise and I were sailing along nicely last week when out of the blue came a massive challenge for us and our business.

We'll share more details with you soon, but for now I would love to share with you the lessons that we've learned.

It's been a rollercoaster of emotions as we've dipped into despair then just as quickly yanked out by some valuable, wonderful, supportive friends and fellow business women. We allowed ourselves a moment to feel the subtle breath of failure trying to engulf us. He brings with him all his mates like fear, confusion, despondency and doubt. We do not welcome these ugly fiends. They are not our friends and it is our practice to keep them well away.

For a brief moment though they arrived and they tried to hang around. Sometimes as much as you tell them to go though, they stay. Its only when those around you come in with their loving arms and stern voices and tell them to flee that they do. And then you realise for yourself that YOU can also tell them to go!! YOU can decide if they stay or not. We decided very quickly that we would surround ourselves in love, joy, peace and hope. And thats when the magic happened.

Through the wonderful women that have been here for us this week (and there have been many) we have picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off, rolled up our sleeves and decided with ferocious gusto that we are going to turn this adversity into an opportunity. We can even go so far as to say we are grateful for this event to occurr to spur us forward and renew our passion and vision. Out of trials comes strength and with strength come greatness.

We feel so blessed to have so much support from so many and we've realised how many are as excited for our future as we are.

Thankyou for coming on this journey with us. We are honoured and privileged to be here and we enter everyday with the most outstanding gratitude.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of interviewing the Wildly Wealthy one herself, Sandy Forster from Wildly Wealthy Women. What an inspiring call that was! To hear Sandy's story of going from a struggling single mum on welfare to creating a multi million dollar international business was amazing. She's a lady who has inspired women all over the world that they can change their circumstances and truly change their life. 

Sandy shared with us how she always felt that she was born for greatness. Born for something spectacular and was not prepared to settle for less. Her circumstances however were the opposite. She was a single mum, in a lot of debt, stressed to the eye balls and really struggling to keep it all together. She knew their had to be a better way and she set out to find it. 

Its a story I really resonate with. I too have always felt that I was born to shine. I've always known their was a greater purpose for me and I've never been content to just go through the motions of life without wanting more. I want the best in health, relationships, family and finance. And why not? I actually cant see why I can't have that. And I believe it's there for everyone. We just need to know how to do it. That's usually where most people get stuck. And that's exactly where Sandy has been able to help. She works on changing your mindset by using the principles of The Law of Attraction. You change your thinking, take action and receive the abundance that flows to you. 

The three key principles she gave us yesterday were

1. Create a Millionaire Mindset

2. Align yourself with the right Mentor/Mastermind Group

3. Combine the ongoing learning with persistence and action

You can sit on a mountain top and meditate until the cows come home but until you surround yourself with the right people and take action, you wont achieve anything.

As you change your thinking to an abundance mentality and open your heart to receive it, the blessings will start to pour into your life. I love this and I have seen it work in so many lives. In my life for that matter!

Sandy wrote an international bestselling book 'How to Be Wildly Wealthy Fast" and it outlays all the strategies and principles you need to achieve this. I read this book on a Family holiday one Christmas and I couldn't put it down. I soaked it up, wrote notes and came back from that holiday ready to change my world. A year later Working Women Online was born. I decided that this was my time and I was going to create the reality I had only ever dreamed of. And here I am today living that reality.

I highly recommend reading this book, using these principles and allowing the prosperity and abundance to flow into your life. This is not just about money but total abundance in every area of your life. I don't know about you but I am all for that. Without it we can do so little but with it we really can change our world!

Last Thursday we kick started our 10 week "Internet Success Strategies' series by interviewing the fabulous Wendy Moore from Savvy Web Women.

Wendy blew us away with her story and she shared with us the beauty of article writing and marketing. Did you know that YOU can write articles? Did you know that YOU have what it takes to impart knowledge and skill to others? Did you know that YOU have alot to offer others and they want to hear what you've got to say? Yes, YOU!! Who would have thought.  So many of us undervalue what we know, what skills we have and we dont realise that what we have, other people want. They don't know what you know, they havnt done what you've done and they need you to help them. You can teach them and share your experience with them in a way that will help them to learn and grow. You are an expert and you have so much to offer. We at Working Women online all have alot to offer. We all have a message to share, a passion to embrace and a purpose to reach others. We all have something amazing that is far greater than ourselves. How are we going to get it out there though? Whos going to listen to us?

Article marketing is a FREE way to get your message out to an unlimited audience. Believe it or not they will read your stuff, they may love your style and they will ultimately come to your website to find out more. How amazingly simple is that? I love it because we really can all do it and its the most incredible way I know to be heard, it costs you nothing and you will very quickly be seen as an expert in your field. Put your knowledge, thoughts and information in writing and send it out into cyber space. Who knows where it may end up? Who knows who may read it? Who knows how many lives may be touched by your message. Its incredible stuff and its just the press of a keyboard button away.
