Grateful for my Sizzling Sisters Mastermind Group

Inspired by my friend Jeanne Treloar's (www.witchwords.com) Gratitude blog posts I decided to do one of my own. I am grateful, SO grateful for my Sizzling Sisters!! This is my private Mastermind Group that started only about 18months ago. Here we all were independantly going about our business, doing our own thing when we all got together to start Masterminding. Some of us knew one another but some were complete strangers. We started meeting at my house. I was so nervous when Toni-Louise and I started this group. Was my house nice enough? Would these amazing business women accept me with all my flaws, kids and chaotic life. The first meeting I cleaned the house spotlessly, made cakes and had everything looking beautiful. As best I could anyway, after the morning school rush!!

I needn't have worried. These ladies are the most beautiful, kind, accepting people. We all very quickly realised that we speak each others language. We all come from a place of purpose, heart and soul. We are all intuitive and very much about helping others in all we do. We were all at different stages of business, some more experienced than others. Since getting together each of our businesses have taken off in a big way. We are all living lives of purpose and passion. Don't get me wrong, it's not all perfect for each of us, there's been many struggles along the way. The one thing we can be sure of though is that we have the support and love of one another to help us through every obstacle that comes our way.

We share knowledge, resources, promotion, tears, hugs, experience, advice and alot of laughs as well. It's been the best part of my business by far, getting to know these girls and allowing each other to share our journeys.

I've grown to love each and everyone and have the utmost respect for them. And one thing I soon realised……they don't give a hoot about the state of my house!!!!! It's whats inside that matters!!!

Love you girls!!

Are you a little Discouraged right now?

Wow!! On Friday we had one of our brilliant Mastermind Meetings. I can't begin to tell you how amazing this meeting was. We had a room full of gorgeous people all there with the purpose to connect with one another and learn from our guest speaker Carren Smith. The room was alive with the most amazing energy and everyone left feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for what they got out of this meeting. Carren is incredible! She shared her story of being a victim of the Bali Bombings. What a story!!! Carren's partner had committed suicide which sent her into a pit of despair, blame and intense depression. She decided to go to Bali with her two girlfriends but while there she planned to take her own life. They arrived and went to the Sari club for some fun. In the blink of an eye her life changed forever.

Her two girlfriends were killed instantly and Carren sustained massive head injuries. Her story is one of survival against all odds. She miraculously got herself back to Australia to receive life saving treatment. Her recovery was long and painful but she realised how much she did want to live and that her life was spared for a reason. Carren now teaches thousands of people how they too can find their purpose, passion and present it to the world. She runs workshops to teach them 'The Art of Public Speaking'. These are sell out events and we were privileged enough on Friday to have her speak to us and give us business skills to immediately take our businesses to a place many of us have only ever dreamed of.

We were all so encouraged as we each shared from the heart and realised that we are far from alone. With a group of like minded business people we each have the support to overcome the many obstacles that may come our way. With the right support, knowledge and passion, the sky is the limit. Many of us had had rather discouraging weeks, months or years. Many that entered the room Friday had practically dragged themselves there. However they left with their head held high and a rising belief that they really can and will reach their goals.

I want to thank Carren for giving us this opportunity and for all those that came on Friday for turning my discouragement into a feeling of elation and victory. I know without a doubt that I'm on the right path and it's with the most tremendous joy that I can inspire and help others along the way.

Have you used Eventbrite to sell your tickets?

Being an evangelist for anything I believe in, I have to tell you all about this fabulous program we just discovered. Its called Eventbrite.

We are now running our open Mastermind Meetings once a month and were looking for a way to sell the tickets online so we didn't have to deal with money on the day.

What we found with Eventbrite is so much more than we bargained for.

Firstly its free!! If you are selling tickets to your event, the Eventbrite fee is $0.99 + 2.5% per ticket sold. They only make money when you make money, so there are no upfront fees for you to pay. In fact, the fee can be passed on to your attendees, putting your event revenue directly where it belongs – in your hands! And if you have a free event, then it's totally free!

When you collect money using PayPal, Google Checkout, or through an offline payment option, you collect the ticket price + Eventbrite fee directly. Eventbrite then sends you an invoice at the beginning of the month for the Eventbrite fees that you collected and owe to Eventbrite.

You can view the invoices paid, outstanding invoices, and current fees collected by logging in to your account and clicking on Account in the upper right and then selecting the Invoices tab. When you use credit card processing, you will receive an email containing your event revenue report when your event ends. You will have 96 hours (4 days) from the end of your event to confirm the amount of tickets sold and make any necessary adjustments or refunds. On the 5th day after your event has ended, Eventbrite will send you a check in the amount of your full event revenue, minus fees.

There are so many other features with this program that make it so easy to set up an event, send invitations and easily share it to your social media sites with the click of a button. Its so easy and actually fun to do.

7 Ways to Achieve Your Goals this Year

7 Ways to Achieve Your Goals this Year

Its the start of a new year and we're all full of enthusiasm for an exciting year ahead. Christmas is over, the holidays are ending and it's time to go full steam ahead into the year. Your head is full of your dreams, visions, goals and aspirations for all you want to achieve.
Nothings going to stop you and you're refreshed, re-energised and raring to go.
You're going to drink less alcohol, drink more water, excercise more, eat healthier, be nicer, be happier, watch less tv, read more, go on more holidays, spend less, save more, enjoy your kids more……………

Lets fast forward to Mid February. You're busier than ever, working hard, feeling tired and the enthusiasms starting to fade.
By March you're back where you were in December, all the old habits came back and you're quickly heading into another year not too much different than the last. How did it all change from the exuberance you felt in January to the sheer frustration you feel in March.

We all go through this. I almost go through a post holiday depression as school goes back and I'm bombarded with booklists, school fees, uniforms, signing the kids up to sports, the list goes on.
Suddenly my schedule seems so overloaded and all the time I need to put into achieving my goals
seems to be gone. Last year I decided I wasnt going to go through this. There has to be a better way.
I believe there is and together we can follow these 7 steps to achieve our goals this year.

1. Write your goals on paper, create a vision board and stick it somewhere you will see it everyday

2. Every day read your goals at least once, close your eyes and envision them. Spend 5 minutes focusing on them.
Speak it, feel it, believe it.

3. Practice self discipline. Excercise even 5 minutes a day, eat healthy and feel proud of the self control you are developing in your life.

4. Keep a daily/weekly journal of your achievements, feelings and emotions.

5. Surround yourself with people who support you. You may need to be brutal and start to limit time with those who have a negative impact on your life.
Spend time with positive people who encourage you, love you and believe in you.

6. Connect with a Mastermind Group. This has been one of the single most important aspects of my growth last year. I started a Mastermind Group
which has been so impacting on every one of the 17 members. Its like oxygen for us all. We love getting together and have helped each of our
businesses in a massive way. None of us can do this alone so don't even try.
If theres not one in your area, start one. Find like minded people and meet as frequently as you are able to. We meet fourtnightly.
You can also start an online group where you can skype, do conference calls, teleseminars etc.

7. Every month have a meeting with yourself to evaluate your goal plan. If you're on track, keep going. If not, assess your plan of action and revise it if it's not working.

The most important thing is to get those goals written.
Visualise them and say them everyday until you feel them deeply within you.
Once you desire something badly enough you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
What I want you to remember is to not give up on yourself.
Dont let March arrive and you have forgotten everything you set out to do.
Know what you want and go after it.
This is your year so make it happen.

Masterminding

I’ve got to tell you how wonderful it is to be a part of a Mastermind Group. I have to share this excitement with you.

Toni-Louise and I formed our first Mastermind group 2 months ago and its been going from strength to strength. We have connected with the most amazing group of like minded women. We are all in business and share similar thoughts, struggles, victories, fears and joys. We laugh and cry as each of us shares from our heart. We all have very different backgrounds and businesses, but what we have in common is the desire to connect, encourage, support and inspire one another.

Today we had the most amazing meeting. We’re all busy women, but we took two hours out of our week to come together and it was incredible. So much is happening with each of us and to be able to share it with one another and have the support and inspiration from such a high powered group of women is more than money can buy.

We left feeling elated and spurred on to continue to achieve greatness not only in our business but in our lives. For many of us, our loved ones don’t fully understand what we are doing in business and our friends certainly try but it's absolutely essential to be a part of a group that knows what you’re going through and is there to support you in every way.

I highly recommend you all get connected to a group such as this. Ours happened because we saw a need and we fulfilled it. We were all crying out for such a thing and we have been so blessed by it. Toni-Louise and I are all about connection, support, encouragement and creating knowledge. This groups allows for all of this and more.

Thankyou to all who are a part of this. You ladies rock!!

Watch this space because some incredible things are going to come from this…….

Sue
