Are you a little Discouraged right now?
Wow!! On Friday we had one of our brilliant Mastermind Meetings. I can't begin to tell you how amazing this meeting was. We had a room full of gorgeous people all there with the purpose to connect with one another and learn from our guest speaker Carren Smith. The room was alive with the most amazing energy and everyone left feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for what they got out of this meeting. Carren is incredible! She shared her story of being a victim of the Bali Bombings. What a story!!! Carren's partner had committed suicide which sent her into a pit of despair, blame and intense depression. She decided to go to Bali with her two girlfriends but while there she planned to take her own life. They arrived and went to the Sari club for some fun. In the blink of an eye her life changed forever.
Her two girlfriends were killed instantly and Carren sustained massive head injuries. Her story is one of survival against all odds. She miraculously got herself back to Australia to receive life saving treatment. Her recovery was long and painful but she realised how much she did want to live and that her life was spared for a reason. Carren now teaches thousands of people how they too can find their purpose, passion and present it to the world. She runs workshops to teach them 'The Art of Public Speaking'. These are sell out events and we were privileged enough on Friday to have her speak to us and give us business skills to immediately take our businesses to a place many of us have only ever dreamed of.
We were all so encouraged as we each shared from the heart and realised that we are far from alone. With a group of like minded business people we each have the support to overcome the many obstacles that may come our way. With the right support, knowledge and passion, the sky is the limit. Many of us had had rather discouraging weeks, months or years. Many that entered the room Friday had practically dragged themselves there. However they left with their head held high and a rising belief that they really can and will reach their goals.
I want to thank Carren for giving us this opportunity and for all those that came on Friday for turning my discouragement into a feeling of elation and victory. I know without a doubt that I'm on the right path and it's with the most tremendous joy that I can inspire and help others along the way.
