Facebook for beginners 101

  On Thursday we had the privilege of interviewing our gorgeous friend and member of our Mastermind Group Annie Infinite. Annie has been working online longer than anyone I know. She really knows her stuff and is absolutely brilliant. She brings her amazing marketing knowledge for business into her teachings on how to use Social Media to give you a holistic, strategic understanding. Have you used Eventbrite to sell your tickets?

 

Being an evangelist for anything I believe in, I have to tell you all about this fabulous program we just discovered. Its called Eventbrite.

We are now running our open Mastermind Meetings once a month and were looking for a way to sell the tickets online so we didn't have to deal with money on the day.

What we found with Eventbrite is so much more than we bargained for.

Firstly its free!! If you are selling tickets to your event, the Eventbrite fee is $0.99 + 2.5% per ticket sold. They only make money when you make money, so there are no upfront fees for you to pay. In fact, the fee can be passed on to your attendees, putting your event revenue directly where it belongs – in your hands! And if you have a free event, then it's totally free!

When you collect money using PayPal, Google Checkout, or through an offline payment option, you collect the ticket price + Eventbrite fee directly. Eventbrite then sends you an invoice at the beginning of the month for the Eventbrite fees that you collected and owe to Eventbrite. 

You can view the invoices paid, outstanding invoices, and current fees collected by logging in to your account and clicking on Account in the upper right and then selecting the Invoices tab.When you use credit card processing, you will receive an email containing your event revenue report when your event ends. You will have 96 hours (4 days) from the end of your event to confirm the amount of tickets sold and make any necessary adjustments or refunds. On the 5th day after your event has ended, Eventbrite will send you a check in the amount of your full event revenue, minus fees.

There are so many other features with this program that make it so easy to set up an event, send invitations and easily share it to your social media sites with the click of a button. Its so easy and actually fun to do.

Stop Stressing about Social Media

Are you stressed by Social Media? Do you feel overwhelmed by it.? Is it a vacume for your time, sucking you in for hours on end every day? Its supposed to be free marketing as many people believe. But its not! The time you spend on it is time you could be spending earning money IN your business. Your time is money so don't waste it!

I know for me I can quite easily log into Facebook and come out hours later having achieved very little. Yes, it is about building relationships and connecting with people and that takes time but you NEED to strategise it. Go in there with a plan, purpose, time limit and stick to that. You need to know why you're there and HOW thats going to bring business your way. If it's not, its a hobby and you must leave it for late at night when your works done for the day.

Do I sound passionate about this? Its because I know how much time can be wasted without having a real purpose of what you're trying to achieve through the social networking sites. I know because this is me every day!
