Last week we interviewed the funny and very inspirational Craig Harper. If you missed it I recommend you take a listen because it was a great call. Craig was relaxed, funny, down to earth and left us all feeling like we absolutely DO want to take some positive steps to ceating a better YOU/ Me/ Us!!
Craig is considered to be the #1 Motivational Speaker in Australia. He's heard regularly on the various radio stations in Melbourne and is also seen weekly as the host of Foxtel's Living Life Now and as the fitness expert for Network Ten's '9AM' morning show. We were extremely privileged to interview him and find out more. The best part was he's coming to The Sunshine Coast to run his one day workshop cheekily titled "Stop F@cking Around!"
Funnily enough neither Toni-Louise or I were game enough to say the title of this workshop which is also the title of his book. It was hilarious as we danced around it until Craig just came out and said it! For Craig, theres no nice way of saying it.
He constantly works with people who have been setting the same goals, losing & regaining the same weight, making & breaking the same promises, having the same pointless conversations about the same mindless crap, avoiding the same issues, making the same excuses for years. He's giving them the chance to change all that! We all do it don't we! We have so many reasons and excuses for not fully achieving our goals. Life can suck that motivation right out of you.
Well Craig wants us to stop the nonsense, the excuses, the same old bad habits and once and for all get serious about
being amazing!! You can listen to the replay through the link below and also check out the amazing offer for his workshop.
We'll be there with bells on and are really looking forward to getting our 'butts kicked' into gear for a productive, amazingly successful year ahead. Not just for this year but for every year from here on.
Sue
‘Stop F*cking Around’.
Firstly, apologies if this offends you. This title is brutally honest for a boots and all, no nonsense approach to kicking you into gear. Theres no more tolerance or time for you to waste another year!!Or me for that matter.
Tomorrow we will be talking to Craip Harper and Jen Forster. Now that should be an interesting call.
Two super fit, highly motivated, extremely well disciplined success and performance coaches!!
I think Toni-Louise and I are in for some self assessment. How are we ever going to talk to them and ignore that urge to perhaps do a whole lot better.
They'll be talking about Craig's workshop they're running together in a couple of weeks called "Stop F@cking Around".
What a name for a workshop. We're all a little guilty of 'F*cking Around'. Wouldn't you agree?
Have you spent half your life 'f*cking around' and achieving little?
How about we have a listen to Craig and see how he can help us change our mindset to get productive. Its perfect timing at the start of a new year. We're all full of good intentions for the year so lets get some traction behind it and actually make things happen this year!!
To register for the call so you can here Craig and Jen and ask them questions

Beating the Overwhelm!
I started this weekend off feeling completely overwhelmed. I was tired and felt like I had so much to do I didnt know where to start.
Having three kids on school holidays for the last 6 weeks its been very busy keeping them entertained and happy. School starts in one week and we now have booklists to get together, school shoes to buy, uniforms to sort out and a holiday mindset to turn from having fun into learning once again!
The floods have affected so many around us not to mention the mould eveywhere in my own house and a whole lot of cleaning required.
My Father's in hospital with preumonia after a year of poor health and my Mum isnt coping so well.
Saturday morning I suddenly felt like I had a massive amount to do, no energy and an overwleming feeling that I just couldnt do any of it.
Once again my Mastermind girlfriends got behind me with love, support and some very practical tips and blew wind beneath my wings to get me going again. It worked!
I put a plan in action and got myself together. Step one……..Have a sleep!!
Actually step one was to post my feelings on Facebook which got me the encouragement I needed then I got my children cleaning. We all got stuck into it and had the place sparkling once more. Then it was getting the kids all out doing what they love, surfing with friends and THEN I had my sleep. And boy did that help!
Then it was off to Brisbane to visit my Mum, take her some meals, visit my Dad and spend some time with my Mum and twin sister.
A stop to KMart to grab some supplies for school then home 24hours later.
Tonight I feel refreshed, accomplished and ready to tackle a big week ahead.
What have I learned? Always always ask for help, even if its encouragement. Then just do things one job at a time, stay calm and it will
all come together. The odd glass of wine can help a little too!
I hope you're all feeling calm, relaxed, strong and ready for an action packed week to achieve our dreams and accomplish success in all we do.

Don’t let Your Dreams be washed away!
So many of us have talked about how massive 2011 is going to be for us. We all came into the year with excitement and enthusiasm for all the good things in store for us in our lives and business. We all felt that 2010 was a foundation year and that we were going to rocket into 2011 achieving outstanding things as we went.
What we never in a million years considered was the start to the year that many of us have had. Who knew that an inland Tsunami would cause an absolutely catastrophic disaster in our own backyards? That widespread flooding across our nation would affect all of us in one way or another? None of us could have predicted that and it certainly wasnt what any of us meant by a 'big' year.
As all of this goes on around us on this very day, please don't let your hopes, dreams and visions be washed away with the flood waters.
Don't be discouraged or disheartened. For whatever purpose, this has happened for a reason and will only serve to make us all stronger and more determined to make this a year that will count.
Let's get back to basics, appreciate all we have and not be victims, but be victorious over this and every situaton that comes our way this year.
Let 2011 be your best year ever!! It may not be the easiest but it can be the best!

Granted another day
I am stunned at the situation in Brisbane, my home town right now. The incredible flooding that has occurred, lives lost, homes destroyed, businesses gone and billions of dollars in property washed away. It's inconceivable that a disaster of this magnitude would occurr in our own back yard.
I actually don't even know what to say about it. All I can think of is how grateful I am for the safety of my own family and for all the simple blessings I have in my life. Thousands of families have lost everything they own including cars, pets and all their household belongings.
In a world where we're used to having everything, convenience and a fast paced lifestyle, this would be very hard to deal with.
We all have so much these days and to have that all taken away overnight would be absolutely devastating.
The only thing you can do is to cling to the reality that your life has been spared. That truly is the single most important thing for any of us. We can replace everything else but we can't replace our lives or those of our loved ones.
Tonight as we lay our heads down to sleep, may we all be grateful for one another and the fact that we have been granted another day.

Back to Reality!
Back to reality!
We arrived back from our 2 week holiday today. Trying hard to hold onto that holiday relaxation feeling as long as possible.
We drove into Queensland and the rain got heavier by the minute. By the time we arrived home it was bucketing down. Our neightbour had kindly locked our house up more securely which in turn had locked us out, there is mould everwhere in the house from 2 weeks of rain and all the windows closed, my dryer broke, I have washing galore, bills to sort out, calls to return, groceries to buy, the list goes on!
However, its all good. One step at a time. I think I mentioned in my last post ; it's the start of the year with so much ahead.
If we think about all we have to do, we'll have a melt down right here and now, sit on the kitchen floor and cry till December.
We can do this! You and I, we can. And we can do it joyfully.
No meltdowns, just one by one start doing the jobs. Scrub the mould, do the washing, return the calls, pay the bills.
This is the same for you and I in business this year.
When we feel like its all too hard and its more than we can handle, just remember one job at a time. It's going to all come together and we're going to have a whole lot of fun along the way. Even scrubbing that mould might turn into fun as I see the fabulous results.
Lets hope so.

Holiday comes to a close
Its our last day here in Yamba on our 2 week holiday. We've been so blessed with awesome weather. I believe it's a sign of the blessed year we're going to have
.
I came on this holiday with the attitude that if it rained I'd still be grateful and have a great time but I also expected a great time. I am really focusing on the power of my thoughts and words right now. I expect good things to happen and I believe that they will. This is my mantra for the New Year ahead.
My family's gone to the beach for their last surf and I've stayed back to catch up on some work. Today being the last day, I'm trying to work out how to maximise my time here. Beach, read, sleep, bike rides, lazing around chatting to my sister??? So many choices. It's been so wonderful, but I have to admit, I'm feeling a touch of the 'going home anxiety'. I know once we step out of the car in our driveway that its going to get pretty busy and I may very well not stop till next Christmas!!
I have 3 kids to get organised for school, a whole lot of camping cleanup and washing, and a business to run. Plus another 2 weeks of school holidays to get through. It'll be busy so all the more reason why today is so precious.
I've walked to the river and watched the pelicans and just breathed in the fresh air. It's so beautiful here and time stands still.
It's been a time to re-energise and I'm looking forward to a fabulously abundant, prosperous new year.
How's your New Year beginning? I hope you are calm and feeling positive for all you want to achieve. We just need to take it one step at a time and allow it all to come together.
Let the anxiety go, breathe in the peace of the day, put one foot in front of the other and away we go. Lets walk through this year together.

Camping in the Rain.
Camping in the rain!!! Not just showers but non stop torrential rain….all day!!
Theres no better test of character and seeing if you can be grateful than camping in the rain!! With 7 kids!! Well today I'm being tested!! Am I passing?? So far. But it's a struggle! I'm doing my best and staying happy but I will tell you , if it's like this tomorrow, I'm not promising anything.
I may very well lose it!!
We've been camping now for 9 days and its been fabulous. We've had great weather and an awesome time. But last night the heavens opened and down came the rain. And it hasnt stopped since.
Okay enough whinging. Let's see if I can find some things to be grateful for.
Okay is that enough? Theres plenty of things to be grateful for yeah? There is. There's no point dreaming of my nice dry house with wonderful washing machine, dryer, phone, tv and kitchen. It's all good. I have everything I need right here and choose to be as happy as a pig in mud…..or maybe a duck in water!!
I choose right now to be happy. I'm writing this to be accountable for it. My choice.
You see - I have a history of hating camping in the rain. I've been known to get very cranky and intolerant saying things like "I just want to go home!".
But not this time. I'm here on this fabulous holiday and I'm not going to let a little bit of water (A hell of alot of water actually) dampen my spirits.
It's all good and I'm loving it. Well maybe not loving it, but I am choosing to still enjoy my day, enjoy my family and have some fun.
Or sleep, whichever comes first.
Now where's my raincoat so I can wade through the river on the road to get to that laundry again…..

7 Ways to Achieve Your Goals this Year
7 Ways to Achieve Your Goals this Year
Its the start of a new year and we're all full of enthusiasm for an exciting year ahead. Christmas is over, the holidays are ending and it's time to go full steam ahead into the year. Your head is full of your dreams, visions, goals and aspirations for all you want to achieve.
Nothings going to stop you and you're refreshed, re-energised and raring to go.
You're going to drink less alcohol, drink more water, excercise more, eat healthier, be nicer, be happier, watch less tv, read more, go on more holidays, spend less, save more, enjoy your kids more……………
Lets fast forward to Mid February. You're busier than ever, working hard, feeling tired and the enthusiasms starting to fade.
By March you're back where you were in December, all the old habits came back and you're quickly heading into another year not too much different than the last. How did it all change from the exuberance you felt in January to the sheer frustration you feel in March.
We all go through this. I almost go through a post holiday depression as school goes back and I'm bombarded with booklists, school fees, uniforms, signing the kids up to sports, the list goes on.
Suddenly my schedule seems so overloaded and all the time I need to put into achieving my goals
seems to be gone. Last year I decided I wasnt going to go through this. There has to be a better way.
I believe there is and together we can follow these 7 steps to achieve our goals this year.
1. Write your goals on paper, create a vision board and stick it somewhere you will see it everyday
2. Every day read your goals at least once, close your eyes and envision them. Spend 5 minutes focusing on them.
Speak it, feel it, believe it.
3. Practice self discipline. Excercise even 5 minutes a day, eat healthy and feel proud of the self control you are developing in your life.
4. Keep a daily/weekly journal of your achievements, feelings and emotions.
5. Surround yourself with people who support you. You may need to be brutal and start to limit time with those who have a negative impact on your life.
Spend time with positive people who encourage you, love you and believe in you.
6. Connect with a Mastermind Group. This has been one of the single most important aspects of my growth last year. I started a Mastermind Group
which has been so impacting on every one of the 17 members. Its like oxygen for us all. We love getting together and have helped each of our
businesses in a massive way. None of us can do this alone so don't even try.
If theres not one in your area, start one. Find like minded people and meet as frequently as you are able to. We meet fourtnightly.
You can also start an online group where you can skype, do conference calls, teleseminars etc.
7. Every month have a meeting with yourself to evaluate your goal plan. If you're on track, keep going. If not, assess your plan of action and revise it if it's not working.
The most important thing is to get those goals written.
Visualise them and say them everyday until you feel them deeply within you.
Once you desire something badly enough you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
What I want you to remember is to not give up on yourself.
Dont let March arrive and you have forgotten everything you set out to do.
Know what you want and go after it.
This is your year so make it happen.
