Three Simple Mindset Shifts to Grow Your Business

The most profound shifts that can rapidly change your business are often simple, yet overlooked. Yet the mindset and energy behind what you do is almost, if not more important than the things that you do. Here are three simple mindset shifts that you can make to grow your business.

First, see your value. I’m amazed at how many people come to me who are not able to actually see their value and what they bring to the world. Whether battered or bruised from previous life experiences or simply in a period of time where they are not sure of their own value – it’s what stops or stunts your growth. Before anything big can happen in your business, you must first know that you are doing incredible work for people through whatever means or modality that you use.

Next, drop the lack mentality.  This consists of letting go of all language that includes any of these words: recession, competition, economy, not enough, people aren’t spending, struggling, etc. This may even mean discontinuing a relationship with someone who is in this mindset, or at least limiting your time with that person. It definitely means not allowing any of these things to be an excuse for your success and what you are achieving.

Lastly, work with the willing.  I’ve seen a lot of people convincing others to buy their products or services to the point of exhaustion. They’ve picked a target market that’s probably stuck in the lack mentality (or if you are in that mentality this will manifest too) and they are just not willing to spend the money on what you offer.  Don’t waste your time convincing others, if you find yourself repeatedly offering your services but people aren’t buying – take a look at the target market you are going after. It may be time for some tweaking. If you find that’s not the case – go back to #1 – see your own value.

Truthfully, if you are stuck on #1 with these mindset  shifts you’ll definitely attract others with a lack mentality and also work to convince the individuals who are not willing to use your products and services – exhausting you and causing you to question what value you bring to the world.

It’s a vicious cycle, but if you can master these you can profit!

5 Simple Relaxation Tips for the Goddess by Luanne Simmons

Every Goddess experiences times throughout the day where you just wish you could relax for even a few minutes.

You already know that relaxation helps your body re-energize, but sometimes you’re so busy and caught up in the moment that you just don’t have the time to unwind.

Well, fortunately there are simple ways to relax, even during your busiest days, that don’t require a lot of time or equipment.

Here are 5 Simple Relaxation Tips:

    1. When you’re in line at the grocery store: Instead of stressing out because there aren’t enough cashiers and every line has 5 people with heaping carts of groceries, use that time to relax your body by taking some deep breaths.
    * Deep breathing helps increase the oxygen in your blood. Your blood then circulates that extra oxygen throughout your body helping your inner systems recharge.
    * Taking five slow deep breaths will do the trick. The proper technique is to inhale and exhale deeply through your nose and out your mouth.
    * Not only will deep breathing help you relax, it’ll help to clear your mind, reduce brain fog, and you’ll feel much more alert and ready to tackle the next project on your plate.
    * Deep breathing can be done anywhere when you’re feeling stressed or just want to clear your mind.

    2. When you’re at work: It’s often hard to find time to relax at work. You might even get in trouble if you’re caught “relaxing.” Oh the horror! However, there are some techniques you can do while you’re at work to help create a sense of calm that aren’t so obvious to others.
    * If your job requires you to sit at a computer all day, make sure you get up and move around for a few minutes every hour. This helps circulate the blood throughout your body. Just moving the blood flow will make you feel more alert and focused.
    * While sitting at your desk, roll your head around, from side to side and from front to back with your eyes closed. This technique helps to relieve neck tension, increasing blood flow to your brain, which is a natural and easy way to relax.
    * If you’re on your feet all day, stretch out your back and sides by standing with your feet firm on the floor, shoulder width apart, and twist your upper body, including your head, slowly from side to side. This will loosen up your back muscles and spine, releasing tension throughout your body.
    * During a break or lunchtime, go for a walk. Walking is a great way to clear your mind and your body will benefit from the extra exercise as well.

    3. When you’re rushing through a busy day: Take just a few moments to daydream and escape the busyness of reality.
    * Daydreaming lets your imagination flow, causing instant relief from the stress of the real world.
    * Think of a place or experience that makes you feel happy or calm. Imagine how it smells, how the air feels, and who’s around.
    * After five minutes of a calming daydream you’ll feel relaxed, re-energized and ready to face the real world again.

    4. Wherever you’re at, smile: Smiling is proven to help relax and rejuvenate your body.
    * When you’re out and about, smile at others around you.
    * When you’re at work, smile at your co-workers. Not only will it help you relax, it’ll help relax them as well.
    * Smile at your children when you’re toting them around to all their different activities. This will create a peaceful environment you’ll all enjoy.

    5. When the going gets tough, laugh: Laughter’s proven to be an instant stress reliever. Now I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want to be seen as a nut case, so laughing out loud when you’re in line at the store or sitting at your desk may not be the best time. When you can, get someone involved in your laughter with you.
    * Tell a funny joke or story to a co-worker (at an appropriate time, of course).
    * Play a fun game or sing a silly song with your kids as you’re driving.
    * Watch funny videos on YouTube.

Engaging in these simple, everyday relaxation techniques will help to sustain and strengthen you throughout your day. It’ll also make it easier to unwind when you get home. Your friends, co-workers, and family will all appreciate the new, relaxed you!

Remember the Goddess you are, and know that you deserve to feel relaxed.
I hope you enjoy these tips.

    Interviewing Janet!!

Yesterday we had the privilege of interviewing Janet  Beckers from Wonderful Web Women.

Janet has been one of my mentors and she is largely the reason behind me taking action and setting up Working Women Online. When I heard her speak at a conference in Sydney early last year, I knew her program was what I wanted to do. She is so easy to relate to and honest about the journey she’s been on in business and in her personal life. Janet’s Wonderful Web Women Website offers such valuable information for FREE or you can be a paying member and have access to all her information, past interviews, videos, transcripts, templates, the lot!

Toni-Louise and I enjoyed interviewing Janet and hearing alot about her personal story and the journey she was on to get to where she is today. The thing that stood out to me was that she worked alot on her mind and her subconscious thoughts. This helped her to overcome alot of the blockages in her that were holding her back from success in health, business and finannce.  So many times people have this same type of story. As they strengthened their mind and released those blockages and worked hard at believing in themsleves and speaking it out, they see the prosperity flow. Its easy to just keep working hard and doing all the ‘right’ things but unless our minds are in the right place and we’re truly believing  for that abundance, none of our hard work will pay off. We need to take a holistic approach and have our whole life in balance. I believe it truly starts in our mind and everything else flows from there.

Hows your mind doing this week?? It takes effort and consistency to keep it strong and full of positive thoughts. But it is so worth it!!

If you’d like to check out Janet’s Wonderful Web Women site and all the internet secrets, tips and success strategies she offers, take a look through this link. Enjoy your weekend our beautiful Working Women Online.

    Interviewing Pam!!

Today was a great day. It was the first webinar where I didnt feel nervous before the call. We must be old hands at it now, four weeks into it!! I felt calm and very excited. I love it!! Its what I was born to do!! I love asking questions and finding out about people. Their lives, their loves and their business.

Pam was such a great lady to interview. She was organised, on time and a pleasure to work with. She gave great content on the call and some really valuable information. You couldnt listen to her not want to learn everything you can about video marketing.

Thanks Pam. We will most certainly be working with you again in the future.

Now to try to work out our video marketing strategies. I just have to interpret the language first. There was words thrown at us like ‘camtasia’ and ‘viddler’. You heard of these before? I have vaguely but now to learn more. There is always more to learn. We’re getting there though ladies. We are getting there!!
